Java is an Object-Oriented Programming Language. It is developed by Sun Microsystems. It has the combined features of C and C++. It is simple and also easily extended. It is platform-independent i.e., it can run on any operating system and with any processor if the Java interpreter is available in that system. It provides Java Development Kit (JDK) which contains tools for developing and executes Java programs, it also provides Java Virtual Machine (JVM) that executes bytecode.
